BeeRadar received a total of 75 reports of the Sculptured Resin Bee. From June to October 2021, we documented 65 observations.
Most reports (48%) came from Switzerland, followed by Austria (30%). From South Tyrol (Italy) came 9% of the observations and few from France, Germany and even Croatia.
Number of long-term participants and new participants were almost balanced in 2021.
Fortunately, for the first time we documented more confirmed reports of an Sculptured Resin bee than false reports showing a different animal. On the one hand, this result is certainly due to our experienced long-term participants, who developed to real Sculptured Resin bee experts. On the other hand, we are optimistic that our identification aids provide useful support.
